The short version
- Your core game data stays on your devices.
- We do not sell personal data, show ads, or use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
- AirPods motion samples are processed temporarily and are never stored or uploaded.
- Optional Apple services are controlled by you and are subject to Apple’s privacy terms.
1. Privacy at a glance
WristGames can be used without creating an account, signing in to a developer service, or providing your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, health data, or payment information.
The website you are reading is a static product and policy website. It does not use cookies, advertising pixels, or a contact form that submits information to us.
2. Data we process
| Data | Why it is used | Where it is handled |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress and results | Save personal bests, recent games, challenge progress, favorites, settings, and paused-game snapshots. | Stored locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch. |
| Watch controller messages | Send sequenced game inputs and bounded haptic events between your paired devices during Controller Mode. | Transferred between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch through Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework. |
| AirPods motion input | Convert supported head movements into optional game controls after you choose to enable the feature. | Processed in memory. Raw motion samples are not stored or uploaded. |
| Local notification settings | Schedule an optional Daily Challenge reminder at the time you choose. | Stored and scheduled by the operating system on your device. |
| Privacy-redacted diagnostic logs | Help diagnose crashes, connection problems, and performance issues. | Stored locally using Apple system logging. Logs are designed not to include raw motion samples or direct personal identifiers. |
We do not operate a first-party gameplay analytics pipeline and do not assign you a developer-created advertising or analytics identifier.
3. Optional Apple services and system diagnostics
Game Center cloud save
If you actively enable personal score cloud save, WristGames may use GameKit Saved Games to store and restore your personal game data. Apple handles Game Center authentication. WristGames does not use Game Center leaderboards, friends, matchmaking, or multiplayer features.
Apple may process your Apple Account, Game Center identifier, device information, and gameplay activity under Game Center & Privacy. You can manage Game Center in your device settings.
App Store analytics and diagnostics
Apple may provide developers with aggregated or non-personally identifying App Store analytics, crash reports, and performance diagnostics when your device settings permit it. We may use these reports to improve stability and performance. You can change this choice in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Learn more from Apple’s App Analytics & Privacy notice.
Apple controls the collection and processing performed by the App Store, Game Center, iCloud infrastructure, and device analytics. Apple’s privacy policy applies to those services.
4. Permissions and device capabilities
WristGames asks for access only when you start a feature that needs it:
- Motion & Fitness / Headphone Motion: for optional AirPods head-motion controls on supported connected devices.
- Notifications: for an optional Daily Challenge reminder.
- Game Center: only if you choose to enable personal score cloud save.
If you decline a permission, the related optional feature will be unavailable, but the 11 core games remain playable with touch or Digital Crown controls.
WristGames does not request access to your photos, contacts, location, HealthKit data, microphone, camera, or advertising tracking permission.
5. Sharing, sale, and advertising
We do not sell personal data, share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising, display third-party advertising, or embed third-party advertising and analytics SDKs.
Data may be disclosed only when reasonably necessary to comply with a valid legal obligation, protect the security of the app and its users, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Because we do not operate user accounts or a gameplay backend, the personal data available to us is intentionally limited.
6. Storage, retention, and deletion
- Local game data remains on your device until you reset it in the app, delete the app, or erase the device.
- Paired-device synchronization does not send your data to a developer-operated server.
- Raw AirPods or wrist motion samples are discarded after the current processing window and are never retained.
- If you enable Game Center cloud save, saved data may remain in Apple’s service according to Apple’s policies even after you remove a local copy.
- Apple-provided analytics and diagnostics are retained by Apple under Apple’s policies and made available to us only in the form Apple provides.
To remove local WristGames data, use the data reset control in WristGames settings or delete the app from your devices. Disabling Game Center stops future cloud-save use but may not automatically remove a previously stored Apple cloud copy.
7. Children’s privacy
WristGames does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children and does not include accounts, advertising, chat, user-generated content, or public profiles. Parents and guardians should supervise use in accordance with the age rating and applicable local requirements. Apple may apply child-account and family controls to its own services.
8. Security
We minimize risk by keeping core data local, avoiding unnecessary identifiers and servers, using Apple platform frameworks for device communication, and stopping motion and unnecessary communication when a session pauses or backgrounds. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, but we use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the limited data we process.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, privacy law may give you rights regarding access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability. Most WristGames data is directly controlled through your devices because it is stored locally.
- Change notifications, motion access, analytics sharing, and Game Center access in system settings.
- Turn off haptics, sounds, reminders, and optional motion controls in WristGames settings.
- Reset local game data in the app or delete WristGames.
- Manage Apple-held information through your Apple Account and Apple privacy controls.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features, platform requirements, or law change. We will update the effective date above. If a change materially affects how the app handles personal data, we will provide an appropriate notice before the new practice takes effect where required.
11. Contact us
For privacy questions or requests, open WristGames on iPhone and go to Settings → Feedback. Describe your request and the device on which you use the app. We may need enough information to understand the request, but we will not ask for information that is unnecessary to respond.
